As a part of its public diplomacy efforts, the Embassy of Pakistan, Rabat arranged Pakistan's participation in various music festivals held in Morocco in May 2015. The Lahore-based Sufi music group "Marifat", headed by Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Professor at Musicology Department at National College of Arts was invited by the Embassy to participate in the 18th Edition of Gnaoua and World Music Festival at Essaouira as well as the 21st Sacred Music Festival at Fez.
